The HORIZON 200 radar family was imagined to democratise the access and use of high-power, pulse compression radar technology.

The HORIZON family has been designed to push and expand the detection boundaries of conventional maritime radars. This family associates the power and robustness of proven magnetron-based radar technology with the advanced detection accuracy of pulse compression technology and Doppler processing.

This new technological approach can be utilised for various applications:

  • Small target detection (floating objects, buoys, fishing traps, floating mines)
  • Enhanced detection within the clutter
  • 7.5 meter target separation
  • Long-range detection with high resolution

The HORIZON 200 surface radar family
is a collection of X band 360° digital colour radars.

The system consists of:
  • Upmast antenna made up of transceiver, rotating gearbox and motor, and pulse compression processing
  • Radar Processor Unit
  • Display & Trackball

Easy installation:

  • Ethernet connection between the Upmast antenna and the radar processor
  • Radar video and tracks available using ASTERIX protocol or NMEA 0183
  • Three sizes of antennas – 4, 7 feet, and 9 feet
  • 24 VDC or 230 VAC – 50 or 60 Hz versions
  • Version available for High Speed Version (4 feet)
